This chapter gives a general description of a collective group of exercises and details which are sharing the here described facts. The described method to enter an application into the programme of the training can be used for improving the motility and raising the tonicity in function disorders. |
Contents: |
Repetition of a preset movement in a defined frequency. About this matter also see TIMING table and description. |
Materials: |
Exercise specific. |
Procedure: |
- Previous exercises: The course of the movement to be worked out should have been trained. |
-Starting position: Exercise specific. |
- Step-by-step-description: -1 The muscle action is executes speedily; after gaining the end position -2 immediately back to the starting position and -3 instantly execution of the next action. The actions are linked together chainlike. Each action is counted in. Within an exercise sequence a certain beat for the carry-out is fixed which mostly will be higher then the second-beat. |
-Timing: Generally: Predetermining of the beat or rhythm (frequency) and the number of actions within one phase. Several phases may be combined to one series; with this it should be minded the training method being quite intensive particularly in respect of the coordination. Taking account of this a series should be built up taking in stress releaser exercises (about this see ALTERNATIVE EXERCISE) |
Characteristics: |
Kinetic, Motility, Tone raising. |
Remarks: |
In the past hypermotility was viewed as a contra-indication; Though, presetting a slow beat as described hereafter, the method might nevertheless act sedating on hypermotile movements sequences. |
Discussion: |
Following J. DWORKIN, the training method may be performed using a metronome. The carry-out of the exercise should not be confused with that of loosening exercises (RELAXATION EXERCISES). The latter implicating a rapid motion while being practiced largely without a strong tonicity. The here discussed trainingmode requires a high working tone, thus being accompanied by a decisive neuro-muscular tension state (stress). As many exercises can be can be transferred into this kinetic practicing mode only some examples will be listen up in the follow also see (MOTILITY-EXERCISE). |
